question about compounds
ok so i just read a whole bunch of threads on the polishing and buffing of rims. well what exactly is a cutting compound?

im realy new at polishing but from what i know its to do with the compounds used for polishing like emery, tripoli, stainless and white rouge. i just orderd all of these to polish my intake and runners......somone correct me if im wrong

i believe cutting compound is very course and is made to "cut" thround and build up of shaz or corrosion, then you use progressivly finer compounds to polish the wheel
