who knows
i will be painting my firebird in the spring and was going to do it in the original bright red but have since decided that the car would look so mean in satin black. does anyone know of a satin black paint, i know primers are easy to find in black but unless i clear coat it wont it surface rust though the primer? I would like a finished smooth "top coat" like finish just in satin black, and yes i will be putting a silver formula decal kit on the car when it is black.

you can apparently get a satin/flatish clear coat that will make the desired finish

I believe that this same question has been asked multiple times on the body board. Check there! I am sure I read one post where someone listed out part numbers and explained the process.
