How does this look? I have an IROC Turbo hood waiting to be painted (actually, the whole car is getting painted)and was considering some sort of cool paint scheme for it. I mentioned this a while ago, and got no response so i want to ask again. I was considering painting the part of the hood that rises black, and then have it accented with louvers colored the same color as the car. The car is canary yellow, but when it gets painted it's gonna be a deeper yellow, much like the new Mustangs and Vettes. With the louvers and T-tops the car has always been kinda yellow and black..but I thought it might be cool to go one step further. My first thought was racing stripes...but it seems like they just wouldn't work with the turbo hood. If anyone has racing stripes AND a turbo hood, pictures or a description would be most appreciated. Thank you.

 

What about just outlining the part the rises in black?

 

yeah i was gonna say the same thing. the part that rises. paint that black and the leave the louvers black. it looks really neat. i saw a car that had this done. it was in the junk yard because it was rearended by a F250 but the front end was good except for the hood. man fiberglass doesnt hold up for nothing anymore.. lol
