Z28 ground effects on an 86 trans am

I have been looking at pictures on here and I have noticed that the Z28s have sweet ground effects on the sides. The bottom of the front fenders and underneath the door. I am just curious if this would mount on an 86' Trans Am or would it even be worth trying? Just wondering.

I've never thought about it until now, and I'm pretty intruigued. I think it COULD look good. Someone do a photochop!

I've seen it done. Looks pretty neat. I believe it was posted a few years back.

85-90 trans am ground effects go further up than 91-92 camaro ground efx. The trans am ground effect that attaches directly to the door is twice as tall. The 1984 trans am front and rear ground efx would match better with 91-92 side ground efx.

I actually like it. Flows pretty well and goes with the front bumper pretty nicely. Looks like it was meant for the car.

Personally - in order to do this "mod" right, you'd have to have the 84 TA style Ground FX just because the level of the front gfx doesn't match the center if you use 85+.

very true. the camaro ones go slightly higher than the 84 T/A side ground effects. The T/A ones sit just under the "lip" in the bottom of the door and rear quarter, and the camaro 91/92 side gfx just cover this lip. I did a couple pics of them mocked up to see how they would look on my T/A. The pics are rough, but it gives a good comparison. I'm still undecided...

I thought about doing this too. There's a set at the junkyard right now, but the right side door piece is missing.

Saw a GTA or formula spoiler too (not sure which), but one side is warped a little, and I'm not sure how hard they are to straighten. (rubber like stuff)
