Rim Refurbishing
Does anybody know where I could send my stock Iroc rims to get refurbished? Or a good place to take them to? Its just one of those things on my car that annoys me and I'm finally getting around to it.

what is wrong with them, you can do an awful lot of "refurbishing" at home with an electric drill and a few buffing wheels. are they chipped? bent? if they are just dirty and dull you can fix that without even removing them from the car.
pictures would realy help.

Any body shop should have a company that does it for them. I offer it through my father's body shop, but unless you're close enough to drop them off and pick them up, you'd get killed on shipping costs.
I am doing my formula wheels as we speak. The clear coat is not that difficult to take off. I use a product called Tal-Strip. It will take it off with no problem. My 87 wheels are painted on the inside so getting that paint off completely was not very easy. Once the clear comes off, you will be surprised how nice the original aluminum finish is. Some guys take it a step further and sand to get the machine lines out and then polish to a mirror finish. I did not want it that bright so just polished the original finish. It looks very nice. Masking the wheel and painting the original painted areas was also a chore. Lots of hard work and time for sure. But the results are worth it.
