Targa Top Trans Am

I've seen a few posts on them but not many recently. In fact I think this car belongs to someone on the boards. anyways I thought it was pretty cool, and its for sale.

Maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't cutting the entire roof off a car decrease the over-all structural integrity of the vehicle by like, 95%

I mean, the roof ties everything together does it not?

I have a hard-top and UMI full length sub-frame connectors and I still have squeaks and rattles if I run it hard enough. I can only imagine how much flex there is in that poor car with no roof holding it together. If you were to take a corner fast enough, the car would probably twist itself apart. Heaven forbit you try to raise the car on a "swing arm" style hoist. It would probably fold in half

I realize that this was (supposedly) done by GM and Im assuming they made it a full frame car like the convertables but still.....

Looks cool, but ripping off the roof can't possibly be good for the car...

It has been discussed many times. If they added some sort of SFCs then it will be fine. All Thirdgen verts started life as T-tops cars.
