I'm tinting my side windows today with limo tint, but I've got a question. If I tint the rear hatch, will the use of the rear defroster ruin the tint over time?

 

Not if it is good qualilty tint. I went to a reputable tint shop to have my windows done including the rear 5 years age and no issues or cracking or bubling to date.

 

im thinking of tinting my side windows as well, would it look stupid if i dont tint the rear hatch...i already have stickers back there and i dont want to remove them

 

Are the stickers on the inside?
the tint goes and the inside and yes it would look stupid if you tint only the side windows, do the back too it will look sweet.

And no the rear defrost will not wreck the tint otherwise every vehicle around here would have ruined tint, including me

 

I actually asked this exact question and made a poll on another board. The results were: 98% - Rear defrost does not ruin tint and 2% that it does (out of about 200 responses).

 

my back window has been tinted for a long time now and it still looks great, and the defroster has been used plenty of times.

like they've said Just pay someone who knows what they're doing and don't buy it from walmart.
