Pics of your hood scoops!
I recently had a 350 installed in my car. The guy really built up a nice looking POWERFUL motor. When I was over there this weekend I notied the engine is taller. I remember from time to time pics of hood scoops installed. Could you post pics so I can get some ideas. Dont want cowl, everyone has one of those.

Hood scoops look silly, and functional ones make your engine bay dirty. This is my opinion.

Re: Pics of your hood scoops!
I have had 2 diff ones on my 1988 camaro. Just to get it on the road and fit my car/intake/air cleaner I bought a 427 corvette stinger style scoop, cut hole in hood and rivited it onto my stock hood.
Then later on to save weight and to fit a taller intake/carb package I went to a 4" cowl
Here's pics of both.
Here's the vette stinger scoop......

I just love the looks of the 4" cowl hoods. You cant' see anything on the passenger side but you get used to it. Heres a pic of my car and hood.

Re: Pics of your hood scoops!
it's currently a pretty mild 355 with ported edelbrock rpm heads, 11.5 to 1 pistons, .575 solid cam, and 750 q/f carb. my goal was to get the car running on this combo and build a 406 during the winter. of course three winters have passed and the car still is not done. the car is being built for the street with the ability to go real fast if i can afford to in the future. i put a ford 9" detroit locker in it with a four link and 12 pt cage. at this point more of a show car than a racer.

I am a fan of the stock/sleeper look. They hear you coming and see you going. All you need is motor and lots of HP...................
