Can Armor All hurt paint?

Will getting armor all on your paint hurt it? How about if it stays on there for a while?

Don't get it on your paint or metal surfaces. I'm not certain what will happen but from what I understand it's bad news. I think it ruins the finish and is a real bear to get off. I apply it to a towell first and then rub it on the surfaces I want.

Almost anything will etch paint over time. Water and birdsh*t will both etch paint. Im sure armor all will over time, too.

it's basicly pure silicone, I'd get it off your paint as soon as you can. I know one thing though, it makes paint fisheye like mad(when you spray it that is)

If Armor-All gets through the paint and into the metal, then you are screwed. A friend of mine lost his firstgen Camaro because the previous owner had used it instead of wax for years. Paint wouldn't stick, even after dipping the body. Just accidentally getting some on your paint shouldn't cause that big of a problem though. But I agree, you should remove it if possible.

I think its bad for your paint if you have good paint- Now if you have real bad paint I have a story for you. When I got my first car it was a 1985 S-10. It was decent looking but the paint was faded and all dried out so that bothered me. Anayway I just got done cleaning my truck and I was spraying Armor All on my tires and the wind blew some on the paint( one of the real dried out parts ) so I wiped it off and thought nothing of it. The next day my paint was looking way better where I accidently got some Armor All on. I was darker and looked way better. So I figured my paint was shot anaway so I went down to Mc Frugles ( a discount store )and bought 5 bottles of Armor All and covered my paint with it. I noticed a difference right away. So I did two coats total that day ( was turning into night though ) and wanted to see how it looked tomorow morning went I went to school- My paint looked way better- A couple of my friends thought I got it repainted for far away. It only lasted about 2 weeks ( looking better from Armor All ) but was worth it once in a while. I only had the truck for about a year and a half after trying this and did this about 10 times or so and paint looked the same as when I got it so it must take a while to really do some damage. Well thats experience with Armor All on my paint- But If I had good paint I wouldent try this.
