Re: quick question about polishing rims

Nope, you'll be fine.

Without the clear, the bare aluminum WILL oxidize, but no more so than it's going to once you polish with all the compounds! Once the clear is gone, you're FOREVER a slave to those wheels!!!!!!!!

Ask me how I know.

Is it impossible to get them polished and then re-cleared?

Re: quick question about polishing rims

I polished my rims and the clear pilled and it left spots. I still haven't had the time to repolish and spray a new layer of clear on it would this get rid of the spots. It literally spotted right after i sprayed off the polish. Needless to say i was pretty dissapointed with the results. Any hope in saving my rims?
