Re: REAR LENS TINT

The vht niteshades I ordered from o'reillys made my front side turn signals light up red. I had them blacked out to the max, as black as the black paint on my car. I think there is some red dye in the paint or something. I'm going to try testors tint paint next.

Firebat, did you spray clearcoat on there also? Or just buff the vht, I heard it makes it looks kinda flat rather than glossy. Also i'm sure you sanded before spraying, what grit did you wet sand with?

Re: REAR LENS TINT

From what I've read on the net about vht niteshade is that you want to wetsand the plastic down to 400, then 800, then 1000 grit. People have had problem with 1500 grit or higher. After you wetsand the plastic to 1000 grit, clean it with dishsoap and water. Dry it off, wait a little bit, then apply the paint.

After the vht is sprayed on, let it sit for a few hours. Then wetsand it at 1000 grit. Then apply clearcoat and buff the clearcoat.
