Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
Wondering what anybody would think of a black paint job and instead of the firebird symbol being on the hood....the venom symbol (Spiderman) with the legs ( or arm whatever you want to call it) on the hood.......

would be a neat chop though...

Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
Probably would be sweet. I think you would have to do some other things to match it though. For example, black painted wheels or a personalized license plate that says "Venom" or "Vennom" or "Venum" or something like that.
Otherwise its kind of like my cousin that lives in Nebraska and his camaro that has a Florida Gators logo on hood.

Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
Gaaayyyy!!!! Why dont you just do a comic hero theme on every body panel. Kinda like everyone needing a batman logo everywhere...yeah, that was the fad for 3-4 years back in the 90s. So why not make it permanent in the paint. Youll be 'that guy' in a few years.
Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
I am one for custome, but come on...these are muscle cars. Why not just paint the wheels pink and paint a rainbow down the side. I think there was a car that came with a spider on it, it was a piece also. But on a third,...People would definitly talk about you.

Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
It's going to look ridiculous. Either do a whole show car (theme everything) or leave it alone. Otherwise it'll just look out of place.

Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
what I was saying is that back in the 90s when Batman the movie came out, everyone got a batman tag, decal, sticker and such on their vehicle and everywhere else. The 'fad' lasted for 3-4 years from that time. Now if you have a batman tag, your livin in the past. If you were to paint a batman logo on your hood back then and drove it out today like that, youd look like a total baffon. The same applies to this rediculous idea. Good luck being cool with that next year. Maybe another marvel comic book will make it in the theatres and he can get that painted on the door. Hehehe

Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
Nah, you won't get sued, unless you are somehow marketing the symbol, so I wouldn't worry about that.
I think it could look pretty cool, depending on how you did it. If you did a ghost job... black with a silver ghost Venom Symbol perhaps even let the legs wrap aroud to the side and be like 4 seperate stripes.
You could do something small, and put a little one on the sail panel or construct a custom taillight with the symbol that lights up when braking.
Good luck, I look forward to seeing it because this is a pretty original idea.

Not a bad idea. Might look alright if it was done right. I just not much of a fan of things like that.
Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
i think it would look sweet if the car was all black and the logo was white and black rims, would defintly be sweet if the car was real fast too then the venom logo would be more fitting

But, then again, that may not be a bad idea. If you have a goofy looking car, people will expect it to be slow.
But definitely don't go for a "sleeper" unless you have the juice under the hood to kick some butt. There's no such thing as a slow sleeper. If you've got a slow sleeper, you've just got a piece of crap.

Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
Im just gonna give me generic response to anyone asking for an opinion like this...
Its your car. Ill never tell you its "gayyy" or "stupid". If you like that symbol, go for it. Only thing I can suggest is that you try to carry a theme. Dont just stick a venom symbol on the hood and thats it. If you are going to do it, try to add a few other touches. Interior, center caps, things of that nature. Dont go making it all goofey, but if you do the logo nice, and add some other touches it could be cool. Everyone likes different things. You'll always have your purists...but if no one looks outside the box things are gonna get boring. Kinda like that AVP car that was on here awhile back...
A "venom" thirdgen might actually be kinda cool. Black with black or dark grey interior. Dark painted wheels. Tinted windows. "VENOM" on the plate. Then make some power to back all that attitude up.

Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
OUR 92 and 90 RSs were color changers.
It shifted between Blue and Purple, depending on the angle. Pics always came out more Blue though, and I wanted it because I chose it for the Purple!
It's all good though. I liked what I had, others didn't. No matter. As long as *I* liked what I had, I could care less about others opinions!
Now...If you go dingle ***** on the headliner, 14" reversed spoke wheel, and hydraulics? We might hafta torch your car, to put it out of its misery! Not to mention ours!

Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
Why not just try it and see how it looks
Get some black painters tape and go at it
Take pics and see how she flys
If you dont like it then you can peel it off no harm done, if ya like it then tape and spray it on
Easy as that

Haha...I never even read your sig... Just was stating in general if one were to put a symbol such as that one to make their car sinister....they should definetly have power to back it up. Your 385 with 311hp is a great start!

Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
You could always get the Venom/spider printed on a screen print decal (like the 2nd gen hood Firebirds were) and do it that way.
I've been doing vinyl, decals, electrical & neon signs for years, and that stuff will last, if it is screen printed right.

You want a sleeper? Get a decal that says Honda and put that thing on your hood. Hard to beat you when they are laughing.

Re: Venom(spiderman) Symbol on my Bird
Actually, theres a late Thirdgen Trans Am around my area that is all black, I'm not sure if the wheels are black or chrome, but on the hood (with hood scoop) he has a giant black and white graphic of some sort of spider/scorpion/skull/skeleton creature, the legs and/or tail extened into the front nose of the car and the fenders...it looks VERY badass.... I'm waiting for the day that someone messes up my paint job so I can do something similar...(but do note, that I love the way my car is now, so I wouldn't ruin the "heritage/original" Trans Am color scheme...)
