Problem with new paint???

This is weird, I went to wash my car, waiting just as long as the paint shop told me to. I go to wash it, and when I try it it leaves all these streaks and water marks all over the place, so I waxed it. Then it looked real good, next thing I know, I go to wash it, and the STREAKS ARE STILL THERE! they came thought the wax! So now every time I wash the car I have to wax it? What is the deal with this?!?!?! anyone know?

Not a big paint expert but that shouldn't happen in my oppinion. Did you try buffing the streaks out?

I had the same problem. I had to polish the crap out of it with some 3m hand glaze and I finished it off with Nu Finish.

What kind of paint is on the care? 2 Stage or Single Stage? It sounds like single stage. Usually, single stage sucks with water spots and streaks.

Possible the paint shop didn't prep the car properly and the streaks are actually under the clear coat. If not, try some polishing compound on the areas streaking and follow up with a good wax. That should do the trick. If that doesn't work, have the shop look at the possibility of it being under the clearcoat.
