Headliner hell!!!

Well not exactly hell, but that sounded good.

Last year I bought a new headliner from Nextgen. It was one of those that is plastic and comes complete with the headliner material already attached to it. Even though the ad said that "the board is split in two with the fabric applied as one piece...the seam is virtualy undetectable when applied" it wasn't. I got two completely seperate headliner pieces, one for the front end and one for the rear end. This isn't too bad, but there is a seam where the two halves come together and it looks bad. Here is a pic of my car where you may be able to see what I am talking about: (The gap where the two pieces connect runs through the center dome light.)

I have recently seen new ABS headliners for around $150 on a few sites and I was wondering if anyone has purchased them? Are they just plastic that is color coded to your interior color? Or are they covered with fabric? If anyone has one of these please reply...

From what I hear, they are just black plastic. But I don't see why you can't paint it to match. As for how they look, couldn't tell ya. Never actually seen one.

We sell the one piece ABS plastic headliners. The board itself is plastic and it is covered in the color of your choice with a padded material and attached with glue. They are one piece. They used to be 2 pieces. I never installed the 2 pieced ones only the one piece headliner so I can not offer any suggestions. Hope this helps!

Glad to see you on the site Roy.

I think I will be giving you a call to order that headliner shortly. Just one question, are the headliners delivered to you with the fabric already glued on, or do you guys have to apply the fabric yourself?
