I saw this new black form Ford at a dealership the other day. I must say it caught my eye and am seriously considering painting my car this color. Despite it being a Ford paint I think this is one very fine black.

 

What vehicle was it on? I think its actually called "Tuxedo Black"

Well, you learn something new everyday. Tuxedo black was a Chevy color in the 60's.

Anyway, the Lincoln Tuxedo black looks like a cool color. Is it metallic? Next time I drive by the local Lincoln/Mercury dealership I'll have to see if they have one in that color.

 

Becareful about putting ford paint on your gm product. The paint might make the vehicle think its a ford and begin to rust out. hahaha

 

lol well i dont have to tell anyone its a ford color : ) And i dont know if it would classify as a metallic per se since instead of using metal flakes it uses glass flakes. Ford has a bunch of really neat looking paints coming out. Well besides the new corvette zr1 having a 60k a gallon roof paint for the carbon fiber roof (paints like 200 cars or so)

 

Both Ford and Chevy have their paints made by PPG, so technically it is PPG's paint. That is as long as I'm not mistaken but I'm pretty sure.
