visibility with aftermarket hoods
visibility with aftermarket hoods
ok, starting new thread since my last one was hi-jacked by greenpeace and backslappers
. I am curious about driving visibility with a 4" cowl hood or a ram air hood, anyone have inside pics and opinions on such applications? Input (on this subject) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Isaac

Re: visibility with aftermarket hoods
you definately lose a little visibility but you will only really notice it when You come to parking and you can't see where your nose is anymore.

but you really can't see the front end on these cars anyway

I don't have a pic right now from the driver seat.

^^^That hood looks even better in person. I personally don't have any experience with visibility on cowl hoods but I have a couple pictures...

my car has a harwood 3 1/2 cowl, at first it takes some getting use to because you cant judge where the right front is turning into a parking place etc. but after driving it about a week or so its no big deal

Re: visibility with aftermarket hoods
i have a 4" cowl, forward is fine, though i cant see my passengerside flip up light, even when im trying too. Not too bad though, BUT, certain states have limitations to the size of the cowl or you wont pass inspection, i think NJ is 2.5" or something like that

if you happen to have a piece of wood somethin like a 2x4 or 4x4 stick it up there and you'll see the difference. i kno its a not exact but you'll get the idea. i dont know how people can run around with the 6'' outlaw hoods and not get pulled over let alone see. btw 86ta the NJ limit is 3.5. lol
