Polishing 91 Z-28 Rims

Okay, a little update. I have my first one just about done. I have realized that I have caused myself more work than needed. I was wet sanding by hand with 800, 1000, and 1500 paper. Well I tried out the Eastwood Co. kit that I bought. I only need to go to 800, maybe 1000 if I have time. The one rim I have done looks pretty good, and I still have to go over it with the White Rouge compound. I didn't do the painted parts. I stripped them the best I could with paint remover, but they are going to be painted red again. I also did 3 of the center caps. They came out looking alright, but you can see all the imperfections in the metal, such as dents, and nicks. I might buy some reflective tape that is used on road signs and cut some to fit over the ring. I have to wait and see how they look on the rim. If I had a way to post pics, I would. But if you need a website to do so, I would rather spend my time working on getting these finished.

Later,
