Mine is done in two pieces. One large piece that goes from the back to the black lines at the front of the hatch. Putting a split at one of the lines works good, you can't even notice it. My tint also stays on the inside of the defroster wires on the side of the hatch. On the outside there is some sort of black stuff, I'm not sure what but it keeps out the light and keeps you from having a bubble where the tint would cross over the wire. I guess you could also just make a tint strip to fit that little piece on the edge.

The price was ridiculous, but mine is one piece on the back....and it came out PERFECT!! No complaints....you just gotta find a good shop i guess, and then bend over and say "ok.......ready..."

Mine was done with one piece.I was amazed that the installer was able to do it with only one piece.I think from the outside if you used 2 pieces you really could'nt tell but from the inside you can tell that you used 2 or 3 pieces.my opinion is to find someone that will do it in 1 piece. If you have to put a little more money into it ,its well worth it!!Good luck!!
