I am thinking Velocity Red Mica for my upcoming paint job (like on the RX8's). My dilemma is that my car is factory bright red (paint code 81) and I don't want to paint my engine bay or jambs if I can help it. Will the Velocity Red Mica blend well enough with the factory red that the jambs or bay won't stand out too much, or should I just go back GM bright red? Clashing reds can be hideous. Has anybody else painted this color? I did a search and it only returned 3 threads and none had pics of this color on a third gen. Thanks!

 

fromk my dealings with various paints. i would atleast spray mist the paint in the different areas to blend it better if blending is even needed

 

I have a MazdaSpeed6 in this color. It is amazing! I get compliments all over the place on it. Folks find it hard to believe it is a stock color. I think it would look killer on an f-body since it has sharper lines than the MSP6.

I tried to find a good picture of this color but it seems nobody who has a car with this color can take a picture in sunlight. This is the best I find in my 5min search.
