Bird crap etched stain on my clear coat on hood!
I have an ASCD fiberglass hood on my '87 IROC with a new paint job and clear coat. It looks great. Three birds no less crapped on it and before I could get it off it etched three stains or marks on my hood the size of a half dollar each. What can I do? I tried Macguiers wax, no luck!
Darn Birds!!! Ugh!! Good thing Emus can't fly!!
Thanks!

I don't know what those birds eat but it's lethal to paint jobs. I just went through this last week on a 97 Cadillac. I'm in a body shop so I had some pro equipment.
I used 3M Perfect It Rubbing Compound, a Dewalt Buffer with Lambs wool bonnet and it made it appear much better but even then there was a trace of the outline of their "poop fest".
I'm thinking you may have to go as far as wet sanding with 1200 THEN buffing with compound and finishing with Machine Glaze and a Foam Pad.
If you lack the equipment or supplies consider going back to whoever did your paint. They may cut you some slack.
