back in the day my mom had an '84 z28.. it was a blue grey color. i was wondering if anyone would happen to know how i can find out what the color is, or if anyone has pictures of an 84 with the original blue-ish grey paint on it. i would definately know it if i saw it.. i just haven't seen one like it in forever. i am going to be painting my iroc soon and there is a possibilty that i will go with that color if i can find out what it is.. post pics if you have 'em!

 

This is not blue-gray....its 83 charcoal grey

 

I have an 84 z28 with exactly that blue-grey color, but no pics at the moment.

BUT there is another member of this forum with axectly the same car as me.

 

You can find a car with that color in the thread marked
"post pictures of blue third gens". It's on the last page.

 

The original paint code will be stamped on the cowl tag on your radiator support.

sounds awfully similar to what is on mine. Not sure where to find the paint codes so let me know where i can find them and i will see what i can do.

 

i guess he gave up on finding the color.

 

no.. i never found the name for the color but i found a few pics of camaros with it. i am guessing that was only on z28's and not iroc's and was not very common. i still like the color but i am not completely sold on it. i would say there is a good chance my iroc will get a new coat of it's original blue paint.
