The metal frames that hold the glass in place (same peice that houses the handle), are really crappy looking on my tops. ive noticed the same on almost all other t-tops. I was thinking about sanding it down and re-painting it either red (car color) or the original black. Has anyone tried this yet and if so, any tips?

Yes, I painted mine. Just used a semi-flat black.

yep, can be easily done, if you want they make a paint called "trim paint" that matches exactly.

 

I USED FLAT BLACK LAST SUMMER AFTER A LITE SANDING AND THEY CAME OUT MINT. GO FOR IT!
