damn, those look like something B.A. Barackus would rock on the A-team van!! I think the gunmetal z06 wheels with the lip are the best suggestion so far, not sure what the big fascination with the lip/no lip thing is though. I think they can both look equally as aggressive given the right stance. Its just down to personal taste and how they fit with the overall styling of the car.

and for bsporty posting the prodrive wheels, you forgot to mention that the car would also have to be converted to AWD and a 2.0T horizontally opposed 4 (...but yeah, i get that it was for the color reference ha)

I'm in agreement, wheel spacers look bad. Wheels with a postitve offset look like the brakes are "pushed away" from the face of the rim. You'll be able to see LOTS of brakes with 18" rims. With a positive offset, the brakes are nowhere near the face of the rim, which is why some people prefer the look of the fat lip. It also fools the eye into thinking the rim is wider than it actually is, since it appears "deep". If you're looking at 18" rims, you should also consider the fact you may need to upgrade your brakes. If you have an 88 IROC, I believe you still have the 10.5" iron calipers which looks too small for an 18" rim. I have a set 18" rims myself, but I'm waiting till I upgrade the brakes before I put my wheels on my car. Here are pics of my rim on an 88 IROC rear end that I'm putting on my car. Too much space between the caliper and rim so you may want to take that into consideration as well. In the end it's your choice, just throwing in my 2 cents.

Re: yay or nay on these wheels

Those wheels look pretty good man. Yeah, I know about the 18"s making my brakes look small and what not. One day down the line I'm going to upgrade my brakes, so that doesn't really bother me. My car is a "project car" and it is no where near finished. It's in need of a paint job and in bad way and there are a few other things that I'm going to do to it after I get it painted. I have nothing against my current wheels, But I bought the car to semi-restore it and give it a fresh look. So I want to put my own spin on the car with some new wheels. I will keep the current wheels along with my original iroc's. That way I've got a triple threat going on

Go for what you like, i always say build it for you and know one else,it's nice to have an opinion, but do it for you.Theres a lot of wheels that look good on these cars, it would just be boring if everyone had the same wheels. Here is mine.

Re: yay or nay on these wheels

personally i like the Z06 Mortorsport deep dish rims better. im considering getting them in 17's or 18's with the gunmetal finish.

however these look like someone dropped a million dollars in a gorilla cage.
