Ok, I've called three different shops around the Boston area and have gotten three different estimates ranging between $180 - $220 all offering lifetime guareentees but all using different brands of tint. My questions are; what kinds of estimates have you guys gotten? what tint is generally considered the best? (i was told Lumar), will 35% look like crap? (legal limit in Mass), if i go below the limit what % should i do? Will tinting affect my rear window defrost?

p.s. all the shops are large and seem very reputable. No hacks.

the estimates seem a little high, but they are all coming with lifetime warranties. go with the legal limit. My brother had 20%(in maryland legal is also 35%) and he got pulled over for it. he had to pay to have it taken off (that stuff is a PITA to get off) and then he still wanted tint so payed anoter $120 to have it redone in 35%
