Please folks, come on

Ok, heres the deal;

So Mr. John Doe goes out and buys some cool looking headlights for his 'maro. He takes them out of their special little packages, gazes at their sparkelyness, then hops onto ThirdGen to see how to put them on the proper way so he wont hurt his pretious car. He politely asks, "Anyone have any experience with installing headlights on a < insert year here > Camaro?"

BOOM. He is flamed to death.

Rice. Rice. Rice.
Take that import crap back.
Leave your car alone.
Geeze, you d*mn *****..

After being bombarded with idiotic "*****" chants, he figures, "I guess I'll figure it out on my own. How hard can it be? Its just some headlights."

After breaking a few parts, crossthreading some screws, and cracking a few clips, he forces himself to take it to a body shop to have them installed (and fixed).

(Maybe headlights arent the best example, but they have been talked about quite a bit in earlier posts, but anything could be put in their place; hoods, ground effects, seats, electronic systems, and even engines.)

Now, lets see. How could all this have been avoided? Think about it people. Just think about it. If someone wants to do something to thier 3rdgen, they will do it, whether they know how or not. So why not help them? Even if its not your style, just help them out. Give advice. And if you feel that you just cant help someone do that to their car, dont reply, let someone else help them.

Thats why this board is here, remember?

Preventive maintenance, I am closing this before it starts a flame war.

I am neither for or against this I am just trying to keep the piece.

Thanks for understanding,
Chuck
