Door to Window Weather Strips

Hello, i have been planning on doing an entire weather stripping overhaul on my car(89 GTA), i have all the parts but i got a question About the Weather stripping on the outside of the door/window glass seal. I bought a set for the outside because mine are cracked and float up with the windows, Inside has instructions it says to use the Enclosed screws to install the stripping. There was no screws, so id imagine it would have to be a really shallow screw seing as its going into the door from the seal, Does anybody know the size of these screws, or where to get them if there a special part?

Re: Door to Window Weather Strips

Im kinda confused. The inside strips mount to the upper plastic rail on the door panel with 3/4" round things that push onto a stud, no screws required. The outside strips have around 6 (IIRC) screws that are like 3/8" long. Very hard to get at since you have to take the corner triangle piece out, and the glass is very close to the screw. Hope that helps!

The screws that are on the outer window felt.... I used some M8 self tapping screws.... 1/2 inch long... worked good...

Re: Door to Window Weather Strips

the screws are about a 1/4 in long. you'll have to remove the inner door panel and the fwd triangle piece to get them all in. about 6/7 screws per door. i just replaced mine last weekend. make sure you roll the window all the way up before you tighten the triangle piece bracket. if your door panels are on, you will probably need new door panel plastic snaps. you can pick those up at any autozone, etc.
