Window Tint

yay! i went and got my appointment scheduled for window tint today from Zeibart, got their lifetime tint, and the better of the two they offer, some metallic tint or something i cant remember exactly, i got 54% (state legal for ohio), and 7% on the hatch, now, is there any kind of care i need for tint, or is this something they install and my car looks pretty now ? i know some people dont like tint and blah i dont care, i hate louvers, im about to drop in a mad stereo system, what makes tint turn purple? ive heard its from like windex and stuff like that, what all cleaning if nessecary or any care goes into window tint? thanks...

Two things turn tint purple;

1. Cheap tint

2. Window cleaner with AMONIA

As long as you avoid these you are in good shape. I clean my inside windows with clear water and newspaper. If I go to a car wash that does the interior I tell them about the amonia thing incase they don't know. You are gonna love the tint. Louvers were in during the '80's but it is thenew milleniumn and you need that sleek look and tint gives you that.

I use automotive window cleaner that's ammonia-free and says safe to use on window film.

I might try the newspaper thing, since I don't knock something 'til I try it.

Newspaper does not leave film. I use the newspaper because that is what my Dad taught me to use and because my wife would complain if I used her paper towels. Paper towels do work the same as newspaper, tho.
