Need some help with R-15 wheels!!!!

Hey everyone I have not been on here in a long time. I need some help with the Ronal R-15 "firehawk" wheels. I purchased a set with the spacers and lug nuts but when I put the front ones on they are hitting the strut and the tie rod end. I thought the spacers were to take care of any clearance issues with these wheels? on the spacer is stamped 074 082 d=7mm 003 0022 205 here are some pictures of them (hopefully they work) and please if anyone knows if they are the right ones let me know! in advance!

Well I have the original spacers for the ronal wheels and I have to use them to avoid the rubbing issue as well...But they don't look like yours! They are written outboard on one side and DG1 DG2 on either side. At the biginning, I used the original camaro spacerswich were much thicker. You may be find with them as well...

Good luck!

I had to grind the tie rod end slightly to keep the wheels from rubbing on it. Took care of all the problems. Also, check to make sure your brake hose is not rubbing the tire...

yeah just had my rims off, my spacers are full of bigger holes and are completely flat on both sides, those look like homemade spacers to me. unless those were an older design.

The ones pictured by 85ws6 look similar to the ones I got with my Ronals when they were remanufactured. mine had a plastic piece on the lip and they were 'snapped into the wheel for the most part.

They fit just fine one my 91 RS using the spacers shown but, it is such a close fit that the tie rod rubbed (I assume) the wheel weight on one side (static balanced). Granted, at 194k miles, the front pieces parts aren't exactly in new condition either.

I don't need the spacers on the 'bird since it has the 'ls' brakes on it.

Re: Need some help with R-15 wheels!!!!

Thanks everyone for the input. I got the issue solved by having a friend machine a new spacer .125 inch thicker. No grinding the tie rods or anything! For a piece of mind I also installed 54mm longer wheel studs so the lug nuts have more thread to thread onto and reduce the amount of stress on the stock studs. I will post some pics when I get the car home from my shop as I am upgrading the rear brakes.
