I have 1991 z28, did these cars come with flat black or gloss back in the headlamp pockets. I am talking about the factory stuff..........

All years all flat or satin black i believe.Unless the car was originally black.

Should be flat black.

All the black cars I've seen do not have the headlight pockets done separately.

Isnt that what i said!.If all the black cars you've seen DO NOT have the pockets done seperately.Then they painted body color.My car never had flat black HD pockets & its an original black car!

My 91 Z28 has the original paint and the head light pockets are flat black.

The headlight pockets are a satin black on all Z28s. I've not been able to find the exact replacement, but others here have. There are pictures of original low mile black cars on the History forum to prove that they were all painted the same satin finish. Do a search over there. I even posted a pic at one time.
