Help me decide on new WHEELS

alright Im trying to decide between the chrome 16" Irocs or the 17" polished Irocs from performancewheeloutlet.com. they are both $200 and thats all i want to spend. im young and i dont have that much money. Would the 17s look much different then the 16s or would my car look nicer with chrome wheels even tho they are 16"? what do you guys think? Thanks in advance!

The bigger the better! I would definetly go for the 17's. Here's a pic of the 18's...polished and painted....btw....don't spend the extra cash on chrome.....they are not worth it.......look how nice my polished rims look:

The visual difference between 17 and 16 is noticable. I would go for the 17 rims.

Chrome shines more, and gives more to the paint, but you cant drive with them in the winter, and polished looks just as good as chrome when new and taken care of. If the polished isnt kept up though give them a year or two to be dull. Theres definitely a huge difference with rim sizes, it looks cooler unless you get stupid and put 20s on your ride, but also know increasing your rim size slows down your acceleration because it messes with your gearing. Id say save up an extra hundred and get chrome

It doesn't mess with anything as long as you keep the overall diameter the same as stock (should be 26").

hey guys, thanks for all the input. Im leaning towards the 17"s cuz i could take care of em and make em shine just like chrome. But do tires for 17" cost more than they would for 16"s? O and 17" never came stock on Irocs right? yea im pretty sure 16"s were the highest they came. MR. IROCZ those are nice rims, how much did you lower it? Those Chrome 18" 2000 Vette Wheels are beautiful... too bad theyre $322.00 ea.

17 inch tires will definitely cost more than 16 inch tires especially if your going low profile, which I would hope you would want to do. Cause to me at least it doesnt look right without the rubberband look, thats why that iroc-z looks so dope. You realize if you got those vette wheels youd have to get wheel adapters too. I have a set of 16 inch chrome 5 starts for real cheap if anyones interested in them, they re beautiful wheels

Judging by your name you have an '86 sport coupe which gives you different options for rims, i'm gonna have to say SCs with iroc rims just don't look right, you might want to check out some Weld pro-star rims, they look great on our cars and i've even seen cragars that look good on our cars cause we don't have ground efx, ADV_1 has pictures somewhere on this board of his SC with cragars, so consider this before you get the iroc wheels.
