Thanks, i never thought i would either but things change, got back into the bike scene and as cool looking as the camaro was it was kinda hard to justify taking it anywhere when i had a 500 horse truck in the driveway to play with

 

Heres my heap, 170,000 miles on orginal drivetrain and still running great!

 

DAMN Shane B! Yours looks better at 170,000 than mine did when it had 80,000 when I bought it 12 yrs ago. I want a paint job bad and this thread is not helping me.

 

i had how people car their cars a "heap" or "junk" when it looks better than most cars on here....i dont even call mine junk and the paint is horriible.......

This is my 1991 RS that is currently being restored. Picked this car up for $1000 non-running. She is a two previous owner car and was in pristine condition until just a few years ago when she stopped running and was set outside. From there the notorious paint-peeling took over. Took her home with me and we changed out the tiny piece of fuel line between the pump and the sending unit and she fired right up. Plans include new paint (keeping the gorgeous teal) and some engine dress up items as well as headers. Other than that I will probably keep her mostly stock.

 

How many 91-92 Zs came from the factory in teal? I know my Maui was an RS only color.

That is an awesome car...what are your rims and what are the sizing/offset/backspacing, and were they with stock brakes?

Was it on airride?

Anyone ever seen the side stripes I have on my car on a different teal camaro? This is the only car I've seen with these stripes. I do believe they are original but I may be wrong.

 

You were talking about Irocbirdbuilders right... If so, The wheels were a 18x8, and 18X10 Bozeforged wheels with custom "RS" center caps. Paul and I talked about the wheels for a long time, but no way I can remeber BS specs. The brakes were stock fronts, and converted disc rears. The suspension is airride... there should be a build thread on the Air suspension on here somewhere. SICK SICK SICK Car!

$10 gauge overlay off of ebay best ten bucks i spend and it just goes right overtop of gauges so you can trash whenever, they also came with a dimmer which is nice.

Thank you! Lots of hours of labor and love. She's still not finished...I have new parking lights, glass T-tops to replace my plastics ones, and new door seals going on in the spring and I am debating wet-sanding the paint for a mirror shine. But for now, I enjoy her a lot.

Heres mine, my daily driver 305 auto, 160,000mi, all stock except the stripes and grill and staying that way. just one pic for now, doesnt stay clean long so not alot of pics.

I know there isn't a 91 IROC-SS.
The guy who originally owned it was into el caminos and liked the decal. Frankly its funny because most people have no idea they never made a IROC-SS Camaro let alone a IROC in 1991.
I have yet to get it repainted thinking in the next few months tho.

Yeah it's just hard to see how thy look through pictures because nobody else has this set up.

Btw what is the paint code for my car? its original color teal, but in a little darker light its bluer, does that mean its metallic? i cant tell.

 

Heres mine needs a fresh paint job(going to keep it factory teal with some flake added to it) and its missing the front ground effects but otherwise a clean car.

Nice! I love teal! It was a coin toss between teal and Arctic White when I bought my '91.

I test drove a teal one much like that before I bought me T/A. You aren't in Michigan, are you?

Wow, a great collection cars. My first 3rd Gen was a Teal Camaro RS. I found a pristine one with 60,000 easy miles. I drove it for another 240,000 miles before 2 distracted people destroyed a straight body (cell phones and cars don't mix). Engine and tranny finally gave up and sealed the deal. Up to that point I was going to restore it. I looked for another Teal Camaro. I wanted a Z28 but couldn't find a good one. I bought a 91 Firebird Formula instead.

 

This is our 1991 RS T-top camero that my fiancé bought from my aunt less than a year ago. The car had about 8700 miles on it when we convinced her to sell it to us as it's spent most of its life in her garage. It now has about 11k on it and the paint on the hood has some peeling that occurred after this pic. To help keep its beuty and keep it original as possible we are most likely going to put black Rally stripes down the car which would cover up the spots that are now down to primer.
