This months GM High Tech Performance Cover Car
Hey guys, I'm a subscriber to GM High Tech and just got my new issue yesterday. The cover car is a 1992 Z/28 and it's a beautiful car! It actually looks like a near clone to mine because it has Ronal Firehawks as well as Red Stripes on Arctic White Paint (Herritage). It was actually pretty funny because at 1st glance I thought it was my car on the cover lol. Does anyone know if the owner is on 3rd Gen Forums (Danny Judski)? Thanks.

Re: This months GM High Tech Performance Cover Car
The month after I let my subscription expire due to lack of 3rd gen stuff, they put one on the cover. Go figure.

It's about time GMHTP put a 3rd gen story in there. I stopped reading a few years ago because they did nothing but 4th gen, Corvette, and GTO stories. Maybe I'll go buy this issue.

92....if that's your car I wish you'd post some more pics. Im the TC and have a car that is a near clone to the cover car (91 RS, Firehawks, Red Stripes on Arctic White paint). I would not hesitate to post pics of that beauty if it were mine!!

I saw this car at Mike Norris' shop in the Orlando area earlier this year. Definitely one of the nicer 3rd gen's out there. Congrats on the cover.

That's awesome! A good sign that the GMHTP folks are open to our cars. I am definitely going to try and get in that mag once my car is done!
Re: This months GM High Tech Performance Cover Car
Finally got a copy of it(takes a little longer to get things in Afghanistan). That is an incredibly nice car for having factory interior and paint. I actually like the addition of the Firehawk wheels too. Congrats on gettin the cover 92blownz, hope to see ya around the boards more often. I know it says you don't race the car in the article, have you ever considered takin it to the track just to see what it runs?

I didn't build the car for a drag car, I would hate for "stuff" to happen a car is only original paint 1 time

Re: This months GM High Tech Performance Cover Car
Due to the similarites between my car and this feature I felt compelled to give my '91 a little more character. I went to Summit Racing and bought a Harwood 3" Cowl Induction Hood today!
Let all you readers be informed that I stake claim to the Cowl Hood on the white & red striped third gen bearing Firehawks!!! Lol. Just kidding, I would say having a car that looked so close to a beauty such as 92's is pretty good problem to have : )
I'll post pics of the new hood as soon as I get it painted (unfortunately it probably wont be til sometime in early spring, blah.)

Re: This months GM High Tech Performance Cover Car
I picked this up last weekend. Ive been reading GMHT for over 10yr's now. I remeber back when it was 80% Thirdgens 10%Gn's and 10%Lt1's. Now LSX cars have taken over hot rodding IMO. But anway, I really did enjoy youre article. Car is a beauty. And im also in the process of building a blown and stroked motor for my car. I also luv the clean stock look of this cover car. You really cant beat it. Similar to my Trans Am, stock appearing, and packing some heat at the same time. WELL DONE...
BTW, You must have a dyno run or something to give us?

Re: This months GM High Tech Performance Cover Car
What sucks is that the badging is wrong and the heritage badge is in the wrong location, other than that, it's a beautiful car. That gap on the passenger hood blister would drive me nuts, lol.
Also hate how the mag rags on the fact that it's a 3rd gen, like they are beneath fourth gens and vettes. "Different strokes," "At first, one may wonder why not a Corvette..." Don't like that, but obviously they still make sales on the mag.

Re: This months GM High Tech Performance Cover Car
I really wish I would've went with the white accented Firehawks after seeing them on yours. I think at the time I bought mine it was a $400.00 option over the satin finish and I didn't think it would be worth it. Boy was I wrong!

Re: This months GM High Tech Performance Cover Car
That car looks eerily familiar, but a TAD different now(no stripes, piping is silver and interior isn't red):

I think the guy that owns or owned that one was named Danny too. I pretty sure his interior back then was not red but may be mistaken (has been awhile, this was in 03'). He also lived in Florida (where these pics were taken) and hung out at Corvette Masters. He ran around with Mike (think that was his name, has been forever) with the vortech supercharged 383 carb'd Iroc.

Are those stock translucent turn signals or are they after market with clear lenses. I'm looking to get a set just like them.

Re: This months GM High Tech Performance Cover Car
how long did it take in between doing the photo shoot and getting the car in the magazine? Justin shot my car back in early nov. he told me anywhere from 3 to 9 months., I am hoping its going to get in and be a feature...but who knows. good to see a third gen in that mag. nice job.
