black stuff on mirrors

black stuff on mirrors

whats the black mold looking stuff that gets on the mirrors and how do you get it off? ive recently picked up a white 90 model iroc z and cant seem to get this stuff off. its on the door mirrors and rearview mirror. thanks for any advice.

I can tell you DO NOT use steel wool. These aren't glass, they are plastic, and the steel wool will scratch them (as me how I know)

Are you talking about the black spots on the glass?If so the only option is replace.Its on the back part of the mirror, in the chrome finish.Not much you can do about it.
