I am thinking you did not like that, well to each his own. You people are so closed minded. Well, its like the old saying goes "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" Get with the program, "makes it look faster than it really is," I will take your car with 10 car leangth head start any day, that does not "make my car look faster than it is," my car is faster than it looks....

Well, get out of the stong ages..... Welcome to my world. I knew this ***** garbage would start, but if anyone else has anything to say nice then I would love to here it. This "ImportRSloth" kid cannot read, because I said don't respond with ***** crap.

Hey,
Get someone to photoshop one onto a car....

Just by looking at the wing itself, I personally dont really like it, but until I see it on one of our cars, I cant say......

At least you will be able to sell that your Z's spoiler... a lot of people like them a lot....

Well, I already sold my stock 92 wing, I cracked it removing it and still sold it localy for $120. Not bad, seeing how you can get them for $160 new from jegs. I tried to photoshop it on my car, but I am bad at it. I will e-mail someone to help me then have them post it for all to see and make a judgment off that.

You ever consider that there is a REASON why no one has done it? because it IS rice and it does look gay.. IMO

but like you said to each is own.. so if u like it.. go for it... id like to see pics of the finished product.

That is right, to each his own. I like it, and I am getting it, no matter how many people think its rice. As a matter of fact, alot of the style ricers bring I like, the carbon fiber look, over sized wheels, powder coating, color matching interior. I just don't like the ***** mufflers nor there drivers because the think they can spank american muscle cars (and some of them can, but not mine )

Pics of my car with EVERYTHING done (paint, grill, wheels, tail-lights and wing) will be posted by late November.

Dude, i'd think again. I posted a topic like this a while back, and someone posted a pic of a black trans-am with that wing on it, and it honestly didn't look good. I mean, i'm all for the aluminum and adjustable, but that particular wing doesn't do the car justice.

Now a somewhat shorter, aluminum wing, that extends beyond the fenders........ (don't take my idea)

Later

p.s. look for my post, you'll see the pics

Actually That wing reminds me of the ones on the racing corvettes I see on Speed Vision.. If installed right, it would be ok.. It's just so diferent from the norm, not to many would like it.. But It refects your styling.. So like you said, each to their own.. On difference is if your ride was stolen. it wouldn't be hard to spot.. Send pics when you install it on your ride.

Ok, here is a photoshoped image.. I don't know if the scale of the wing is right.. I also attempted to remove the factory spoiler off my car.. so the tail light looks a bit funny.. But it gives an impression of the wing on the back of a camaro.

Man, that is NOT rice, nothing is EVER rice on a car that is mad to be fast, such as our cars, but i do not like it either. Unlike most these other a**holes here, i am not gonna make fun of u, or laugh or anything. I have the same car man, the z28 wing is the best thing u can have on a 92 z28, keep the wing, save the money for somethin else.

I have already order the new wing and sold my old stock wing. I am totaly sure about wanting this wing, that pic is just cool, kinda small for the car, but I called jegs for the mesurments and its 53" wide, same as our rear hatch. So, it will fit good and install in a second. I will post pics ASAP.

Thanks for the help with the photoshop.

Watch out, the fashion ****'s are going to lynch you

If it weren't for the sides being so big, it would look better. I think with that massive cowl hood of yours, the wing might actually balance out the looks.

Wow, Camaroboy, I just found that topic again, I remember posting in defence of your wing you liked. What a battle we fight with most of these trailer park trash 3rd gen owners that have such a closed mind. For all the people that did not "give me ***** crap" thanks and I will post pics for you. For the ones that don't like it, well sorry, I can't force good style on everyone.

Peace!

Truthfully...get it if you like it. Why do you care if others like it? I personally dont like it. I see it all the time on imports...and it looks bad on those too. I dont know why people call it rice...a lot of american company's make them. They look bad on imports as well as american made cars...but that is just my opion. I like some things on my car..while others call it rice. It is all a matter of personal opinion..and some people need to respect the opinions and likes of others. I am 16..and see people 20 and up on these boards acting like more of a kid than I do. Some people should be a little more mature. I just dont like the style of them...they dont look good on any car through my eyes. Most of my friends in High School seem to like them, but not me. Do what you want though...and post pics of it on your car. I am interested to see how it actually looks on a third gen. Good luck.

Actually it reminds me of a black Saleen Rustang out at work. The car looks good, but I've never heard any nice comments about the spoiler. Why do you like it? It seems like it will obstruct rear vision and take away from the clean looks that make thirdgens so attractive in the first place. I'm not flaming you, it's just a difference in taste and I would like to know positive reasons to have something like that.

I wasnt going to reply to this topic since I have no advice to give and since you've already sold the old spoiler (which I would have paid money for) you've already made up your mind. What got me to reply is the close-minded replys that I was confronted with (only a couple actually).

First of all, the remark about trailer trash third gen owners was misinterpreted... I am sure that GOFASTER was talking about the owners and not the cars... I totally agree, slack jawed ******* hicks can be total jerks... Don't get me wrong, I have also found nice country folk... they aren't trailer trash. Anyhow, if somebody has an opinion to give, only give the opinion, man it pisses me off when people start dissin' **** like this and it is really your own opinion that matters, so if you like it... do it, just as long as you know its what you want to do and don't let people tell you your opinion is stupid.

Hey, good luck with the project man and post some pics when it's done.

Peace out all

I was thinking for a while about getting a wing like that, but it was just a phase. I thank *** now I didn't have the money to buy one. I want to find something like a 2nd Gen style spoiler like the big lip that comes out. Maybe an extended version of the stock spoiler. I always loved the look of those and an aluminum wing may look a little out of place on Camaro and may not be of any use. I mean those C5-R Vettes get so much downforce that they don't have to brake around some turns because the car is so planted down to the track.

Can everyone please shut the hell up about "rice", none of you idiots even know the meaning. I always have to explain it all day cause u retards cant read....

Rice is a car that is made fast that is not supposed to be fast, as well as appearance, such *** accords, civics, VW's etc... NOT our american power houses.

Cool! I am not going to harp anymore, I think most people get the hint. I like the wing because it adds to the style that I bring and like to my 3rd gen. I went with a huge cowl hood (5") and that huge wing will just add to the style I made for it. I just don't know how to explain it, the wing just grabed my attetion and I just wanted it.

Thanks for the coments guys!

PS Oldblue, I will be out to the next UFBA meeting after my car is back on the road again. Tell everyone I said hi and to look for my car soon.

I'm not trying to hurt anyones's feelings, but I personally think that just seems out of place. I have the 91 Z wing on my RS and sometimes I wish it had that lip spoiler, other times I like the way it looks with my car. But hey, like I say, do what you want with your car, it doesn't belong to me.

Well, I wouldnt put it on my car, but at least its functional. Heres the bottom line:

If you are putting it on because its functional, then its alright. Nobody calls indy cars rice and they have spoilers all over them.

If you are putting it on because you think it looks good, then that is plain retarded. Its not all that attractive, especially the billet aluminium mounts.

This is a good example of function over form. Nobody says antennas or door handles or gas doors look good, but they are all there for a reason.

And to all the people who are so quick to call EVERYTHING rice, cant you read? HE said 'NO RICE COMMENTS'. There seems to be a *****-phobia among people on here. Get over it, there will always be ugly cars.

Just go to yahoo and type in Touring Style i think this one looks a lot better than the chrome tipped one you had.... these look a lot more tasteful and will look pretty rowdy with that cowl hood of yours..... good luck seeing over that 5" hood though.

Well I am not just gonna slam it, I would just like to ask a few questions
First, do you like it by the looks or because of it's function?
Second, do you put it on because of how it looks, by itself, on another car or on a third gen?
Thirdly, do you do it to draw attention?
It will definitely get it both good and bad and ricers will definitely want to steal the spoiler, and I guess the domestic guys will want to steal the rest of the car.
A 5inch cowl hood is pretty damn big, but this spoiler, how high is it going to be?
It looks pretty damn huge
Isn't it a bit over the top though?
I guess it's good if you like that sort of stuff ...
My comment: I think it's too complex and looks too busy and over the top

This board is like dealing with five year olds. Talk all the **** you want, I know what I like and I am doing it. Can you say orginal, no I guess you can't. Trailer park trash thirdgen oweners, thats all the **** talkers are.

Why do I like it? No one has done it yet. It matches my car. I like it alot. It's my style. It works for really good down force. The same reason I got the big cowl hod, when everyone on this board talked **** about that also. I don't give a flying f@c* about people who have no style. I just thought there would be more people on this board that would welcome new style, not this warped sense of style. I like 3rd gens, but I also like the style most of the ricers bring to the table, so if you **** talkers don't like it, then you know what you can do!

Hey chillphatcat I wsa just messing with the trailer park trash thing, maily cuz my 89 does look the aprt right now, specially since its 3/4's sanded down but I still have to drive it to work. and it actually looks worse now then when go faster saw it. As for the wing personally it inst my style, but I would still like to see it on his car, and maybe the wing will be like 3rd gens were with me, they grew on me, I used to be a second gen lover and thats mostly what i've grown up with and mostly what my family and me own, but then the 3rd gens started to grow on me a littl bit at a time so I bought this one.

I just checked out your web page and that car looks BADASSED with the 5" cowlhood! The regular 92Z28 wing looks sweet too. However that spoiler is going to COMPLETELY change the look of your car from badassed into candyassed. Seriously it does not look good at all and it looks so out of place. IMO you need to spend your money on stuff to make your car faster than it is right now you already have it looking MINT. That spoiler would be overkill.

Just do what you want. It's your car. I could care less of what others think. If you dont like it later...then take it off. Sometimes...you'll never know what you like until you try it.

I know there are some guys here that think their chick is phat. To others...they're just fat. I wont knock them and tell them to ditch the bitch. I tell them that if they are happy...keep her. I dont have to drive her.

That's not rice dipsh*t, that's sushi. And if you dont want it to be called "rice", then we'll just call it UGLY because that's what it is. come to your sences. If you put it on there you will regret it later. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I'm just stating my and many other's opinions.

i actually thought about doing that before but that wing is only 55 inches wide and I think the back of the camaro is 60 something inches wide ... so it will look a little small but I still like the look alot. You can find that wing on sale @ www.godfathercustoms.com for $500 something. I say forget what everyone else says and GO FOR IT!!!!

Thanks guys for the support. I knew there was some folks on this board with half a brain. I called jegs and they said it was 53" wide. I mesured my hatch and from just the hatch glass area (not the fenders) is 53" almost to the "T." So, I got to thinking, it would not hang over at all, it might even be in a little. So, I am debating if I should get something else or just go with it and see how it fits. I don't want to spend all that money and have it not fit right (I still think it looks good). Anyother wings out there that look good for under $200 that are atleast 56"?????

Wow, Camaroboy, I just found that topic again, I remember posting in defence of your wing you liked. What a battle we fight with most of these trailer park trash 3rd gen owners that have such a closed mind. For all the people that did not "give me ***** crap" thanks and I will post pics for you. For the ones that don't like it, well sorry, I can't force good style on everyone.

Peace!

Dude, just becasue people have a different opinion than you doesn't make them close minded trailer trash.

Do what you want with your car, I couldn't care less. But by posting your ideas on here, you are asking for peoples opinion, whether they are good or bad. If you only want people to say your idea is the greatest thing in the world, I highly reccomend you don't post it here.
