Re: Decisions, Decisions...Decisions!!!
My first thought was that with the black cowl stripe + the black hockey stripes + the black grille insert that black pockets would be a little to many black accents. But looking at it, it looks fairly good BUT......
There still seems like it would add too many black touches up front, with nothing in the rear. Not sure if anything added in the rear would be good, or just plain overkill. Sometimes less is more.
In other words....I'm still undecided on what I think would look best, IMHO.

Re: Decisions, Decisions...Decisions!!!
leave it, you have enough black accents already. but if you're like me and you even have to ask, you'll probably end up doing it because it'll bug the crap out of you.

Your paint looks killer already! However I am a fan of the black buckets so I say go for it! Worse case scenario, if you hate it then sand it off and repaint - again...

I kinda like it but I am hoping it's not too much black accents on the car...I could always do a vinyl sticker in there and if I don't like it...just peel it off...it will give the car a new look, something different

Re: Decisions, Decisions...Decisions!!!
I am in the middle of painting my 88 iroc. its a similar color kinda a goldenrod yellow. i'm putting black heritage style strips(black), tinted 20%, black 18s with polished lip. and i'm doing the e36 black bmw headlight up grade...i still plan on painting the buckets too... i dont' think it will be too much.. i think it makes the car look pi$$ed off, i like it though

i say do it my car came stock with grey painted headlights so when i look at another camaro with color matched it turns my stomach i just think it looks way more agressive with black buckets when it warms up im going to repaint mine and do the silverado conversion

Re: Decisions, Decisions...Decisions!!!
black out the buckets. The front end looks lazy with the yellow buckets, the black makes them pop a bit and livens up the front end
Re: Decisions, Decisions...Decisions!!!
Look into all possible options first. One suggestion I have is to leave the buckets alone and look into a billet grille and cover it over your black painted stock grille / front license plate holder. The grille would match all the bling/silver from the shiny aftermarket headlights/parklights.

I'm agreeing with Damon here, A) Camaro's have to have black buckets, it just looks mean and sexy. Mostly sexy. And B) The pinstriping would look really slick.

I defintly would do it, plus it really makes the headlights POP out nicely, didnt you spend a good 2k on them? for that much I would make them as noticable as possible haha.

Re: Decisions, Decisions...Decisions!!!
I say black and Id keep the black and yellow bow-tie grill just as it is.. Shaving the antenna would be a nice touch and I want to say that you have one of the baddest Camaros I have ever seen. Great job!

Japan so our time zones aren't completely out of wack, I assume it's morning there? It's about 3:40 PM here Saturday
Unfortunately though I don't have the car here, it's back in the states in storage

Re: Decisions, Decisions...Decisions!!!
Here it is a decent pic with a real camera for those who asked to see my new black headlight pockets! For sure I can say that no foto can explain what difference made to the car coz it looks more low and more aggresive! Cannot even explain why!!

Re: Decisions, Decisions...Decisions!!!
Hey Sinister! Long time no see, lol. I think you should go for it - the car is "nice" without the black, but with the black it's a bit on the evil or sinister side. Not sure about the pinstripes, but that's easy enough - don't like 'em, take 'em off.

Re: Decisions, Decisions...Decisions!!!
I think the paint job looks great as is. I would leave it be. Someday, in the hopefully distant future, you will have to repaint again, assuming you keep the car that long. THEN, I would consider changing it or not. Just my opinion though. All that said, I told the painter this morning to paint mine black.
