Bird on Hood

I just got done rebuilding the motor in my 82 trans am WS6 and have been contemplating on weather to paint it or leave it the way it is. I have been looking around on the web and have not seen one with the bird on the hood. I am only the second owner of this car and to my knowlage it is the original paint. Is this a rare find and is it worth anything...

Re: Bird on Hood

If the paint is fine and you're ok with the color leave it alone. Refer to the history forum for value/rarity (its not rare)

As for the bird, either you love it or you'll hate it. I used to have a 79 decal on mine. Anything from a 2nd gen will fit your hood fine. Style is personal preference. There's alteast two threads with different year birds/hoods and the different style decals and a few airbrush jobs

When it got old and started to peel off, I removed it and had a nice little surprise from the wax
