OK, so as a moderator, I need to break the rules and ask a non 3rd gen question. The info can, however, be used on a 3rd gen with similar issues. I trust the advice from TGO over other websites.

My 06 Silverado is currently parked in a hotel parking lot and some idiot allowed their dog to pee on one of my rims. I didn't notice it until after it had dried and it now marked my rims. There are light colored runs in the finish. I tried waxing the rim tonight with no success. It looks like a brake fluid or something ran down the rim and marred the finish and I'm just assuming it's pee since I just washed the truck last weekend. What can I do short of refinishing the rims to fix this? Thanks

 

that would be the same thing as paint damage only this wont buff out i would think being clear. or are they cleared? if they arent get some white bar and a polishing head and go to it.

if they are its refinish time. wheel works (if you have one in your area) does this and from the work iv seen they do fine work.
