Wheel detail/wet sanding etc-ideas/help wntd

I was seriuosly considering both wet sanding my original formula wheels and either having them dipped or trying to revitalize them myself due to the pitting problems as well as the holes on the clear coat I have noticed recently. Has anyone ever done this before and do you have any idea how hard it would be to do? Also, has anyone ever had their wheels dipped before and how much does it run??

I have just finished stripping my 91 Camaro wheels and they came out very clean. All of the clear and base coat was stripped away in two or three applications. Do it yourself and save alot of cash that you could put to better use somewhere else in the car. I used Aircraft Stipper. You can buy it in a spray can at several part stores or paint stores.
