this is how far i have gotten
here is how for i have gotten on my project 1987 z28. i have gutted the car and found very little rust just look at the photos. tell me if i have done a good job (keep in mind im only 16) so im working on my skills. and give me some ideas since this is my first camaro.

After seeing this car in person, I can tell you that the carpet was never removed before. All of what you see is literally "virgin rust" as in, never having been repaired. It really made me mad; this car looks like its been out in the run its whole life and has virtually no rust, whereas mine looks like its been a garage queen and has a fair amount....

Looking good. Word of advice...Bag, Tag, And label everything you remove. It will make the re-assembly much easier. Take plenty of photo's (as you are) so that you can have a visual of where everything goes and how it goes back together. Nice work so far. I did the same thing with my first camaro (a '74, back in the late 80's) The original motor died from old age, so I stripped the whole car down to the shell. I removed all the interior, including the dash, removed the whole front end and motor. I put a new motor in, painted all the suspension and put the car back together with all new interior. I was 18 at the time, still living at home with my mom. She wasn't too happy that I took over the garage, but it was a great learning experience. Good luck. Keep us posted.
