I have been looking at the Y2K Corvette wheels. which is the better choice??
Which is easyer to maintain when brake dust gets on it. and which is the shinyest?

Chrome is both the shiniest and easiest to maintain. The biggest drawbacks to plated aluminum are the cost and that if its not properly done it will eventually peel. Of course whether you prefer the appearance of plated or polished is a personal preference, but should be one of the largest factors in your choice.

Chrome is much easier to maintain. However, polished is alot cheaper. When polished alum is first polished it is very shiny, many like it better than chrome. But it's much harder to keep clean.

If the polished aluminum has a really good clear coat on it all you have to do is wash it with soap and water.

I put Zaino on my clear coated aluminum rims, makes them almost look like they have a coat of glass over them.
