rust on the exhaust tips

have a good amount of rust on my exhaust tips. i did one side of one today with 0000 steel wool, and it was doing pretty well. there are some stained (black) spots, and a few portions of it where it seems as if the steel bubbled up or something. but the rust on the tops is pretty thick on it.

what do you guys suggest?

i also did the rims with the wool when i had it out. i waas able to get one just about spotless, but there were stains on the other 3 that i couldnt change at all no matter how hard i scrubbed.

bathroom stuff works well to make it quicker, stuff like lime away, calcium lime rust remover.

easy hose on then hose off.

then wax often.
