Wheel refinishing

Does anybody have any recommendations where to go? The turbocast wheels and bowling ball hubcaps from my 1982 TA need to be refinished. I was thinking about going to Wheel Collision Center in Bath PA. Their prices are high but their work looks good. Anybody have any experience with them?

Re: Wheel refinishing

Define refinish...

If they only need clean up, eagle one aluminum mag wheel cleaner works like nothing else. You could polish up the edges, and that cleaner is like magic...

If there are some dents and scratches that need fixing.... there are a few places online that are reasonable... maybe some local to you...

I went a step further with my turbocasts, had them media blasted, edges polished, clear powdercoated.... they look as good as they did when I got them done 5+ years ago... and easy to clean...

It's a bit pricey, but again, they are now a breeze to clean and look great...

luvofajah -
I tried cleaning the rims with Meguiar's wheel brightener, which works great to get crud off of rims. I think they just need to be stripped and repainted. I want to get them done with a polished lip, but painted gold. Those look real nice. Did you have the caps painted also?
Do you mind saying what you paid? I was quoted about 180 a wheel from Wheel Collision Center.

Re: Wheel refinishing

Just an update - I took my rims to Wheel Collision Center and they ruined one of my rims.
