It's a fad. Like fuzzy dice and sun catchers. In 1988, all the yuppies at my school would hang their Zodiac sign from their mirriors. vomit.

Just to add for a over 21 guy, those beads or received at a club. Havent you ever heard of Marti grau (if thats how ya spell it) chicks flash and have to makeout with ya to get your beeds. We have a club over here called burbon street(which is a street in louisiana) and they hand out beeds and then the chics have to work for em

Mardi Gras is really big down here. Around that time, people put their beads on the mirror, but take too long taking them back down again (almost exactly like some people with their Christmas lights). I'm not saying that's what's going on in your case, just that it happens down here.

Yea, Mardi Gras is very big down here. We don't hang beads from our rearview mirrors though.

Personally I find that a femine characteristic of a car, I've never seen a guy with the beads.

If you're lucky and they are drunk, you can get a lot more than just a flash for your beads.

beads? lol, i had a rosary on my rear view mirror, i got into my car one day on the way to the liquor store, it fell into pieces, when i filled my car up with beer and was ready to jet, my car wouldn't start, *** was telling me something...
...just a story kinda having something to do with beads... and i'm 17, so that makes the difference
