Right now I have 4th gen chrome 5 stars on my car and was thinking of painting them black. I've seen some pics of Grand Sport vette wheels on a 4th gen and I liked them a lot except for the silver ring around the edge. So I was wondering if anyone has a pic of black wheels on a 91-92 Z28? A photoshoped pic would be fine. I just want to go with a different look than chrome.

All black will not look good, the chrome lip on the GS Vette wheels makes the wheel look good, without the lip, you can't see where the rim ends and the tire starts.

Here you go. They are just stock wheels though. Keep in mind this is just an extremely crappy photoshop job-I suck at this stuff!

I just finished actually painting them and it came out pretty good. I'll get some pics.

(Damn the 2.8!)

 

After spending 1000$ on my wheels, I don't think I could do that. Atleast get some standard silve 5 spoke and paint them and polish the lip. Or even buy some grand sport wheels and polish the lip.

Sometimes black zr1s go on ebay, I would bet that you could sell your chrome rims and buy these black ones and make some money. Painting chrome wouldn't be the best idea.
