- STOCK APPEARING means that the vehicle has all original body parts, factory style paint, factory lighting, factory wheels, non lowered suspension.
Looks to me that Sean O'Hara has the only non-lowered car in the voting (with the possible exception of Fandreous). What's the deal? I agree, they are all amazing looking cars, but what happened to the rules?

Is it just me or are almost all of these cars lowered? I know Irocthe5.7's is, and I'm pretty certain that I've seen pictures of Scottmoyer's car in the lowering forum as well. Looks alone say that JekyllandHyde's car has been lowered, and though I can't really tell from the pic, Fandreous's car appears to have been lowered as well.

If it looks stock from the outside (pics provided) it will fly.

Proposed new COTM rule... Must be a member for more than a month to vote?
On the lowering thing, not trying to be a nitpicker, I just noticed because a couple of the cars are in multiple lowering threads, and it was italicized in the voting rules that they not be lowered. That being said, you're the COTM guy, so you've got the final say!
Thanks for putting together such a great thing for the community!

Asking for votes doesn't seem to be in the fairness of a contest where winner is chosen through votes from people of the site who think which is the better looking car. That's the same thing as stacking a deck of cards, if you ask friends to vote for you, its not an actual vote, and you stack it in you're favor

You're right, however I only linked the vote thread to the local fbody forum in
Vancouver and never blatantly told them to vote for me. people could have
easily voted for another guy and I would have been fine with it.

I italicized it to keep people from nominating OBVIOUSLY lowered, slammed type cars that have chose to keep the rest of the exterior of the vehicle factory appearing. In the manor we have to set the COTM up to keep it member nominated & voted there will be some grey area on things like this, hopefully we can work through the grey areas and see the greater good, and have some fun while we fine tune the system here.

For the record, my car is not lowered. It's still riding on the factory springs, so I'm pretty sure I'll be one of those guys that would put a lowering spring kit on and have the car sit higher. LOL
Anyway, I am a huge fan of Sean O'Hara's ride. He has done an amazing job of keeping it clean and classy. Makes me want to own a red one someday.

How many miles are on it? Is it really raked that hard, or is that mainly a factor of the photo angle? It's a great looking stance.

It has 62k miles. I have other pics in the members section. I think it's the angle of the pic. It could also be because of the new Koni shocks I put in the back. I didn't have the new ones put in the front yet.

Re: March COTM poll ** VOTING **
Yeah, I noticed that the Koni shocks kicked the rear end up quite a bit on my GTA when I ditched the factory ones (of course, I compressed the factory shocks by hand when I pulled them out two days ago just to see how soft they were, and they still haven't come back out, haha.) When I put the Konis on the back of my Formula, they raised the rear end up a bit higher even than the KYBs that were in there.

HAHA, isn't that a coincidence. Still I would've figured your car was one of the low milers.
cal30_sniper, which ones do you have? The reds or the Yellows? I was able to get a set of Reds for the rear, but I had to get Yellows for the front because the Reds are discontinued.

I feel like the lower two camaro's were let down by their pictures. It's not really relevant because the voting has gone on for days now, but a couple of clearer pics and they would have a better chance.

Every single one of those cars deserves its own month.
Fandreous has a beautiful car, but it needs centercaps.
But with every car being pretty much thirdgen perfection, its only predictable that the winner will be the one with the neatest looking color and/or the best photography. I voted for Jekyll and Hyde because his had both. A silver 92 Bird... there must be all of 3 of them in existence, and none photographed so well.
But I hate to pick any car of those 5 being "better" than the other.

I don't think it would have changed the outcome in this case, but yes the pictures probably don't do the cars the justice they deserve.
I can't search the entire site for the "best" pics of a car someone else nominated... I repost with the pics that were used for nomination.
So... make sure when you nominate a members car that you use a GOOD picture.

Maybe after nomination, PM the members and get what they think is their best picture, give them a time limit to do submit it to you like 48 hours or some other relatively short time and use those. I dunno, just throwing around ideas.

Sean this is not quite the local page you make it out to be...
Guys I can't control the internet and where you post, and what you guys say, so it kinda comes down to some personal integrity on the part of what you do givin the chance to be nominated into COTM. I would like to say as part of TGO that we don't condone "advertising" that you have be put into a voting situation on another site. That being said there are some new rules that will be made here to help keep this system we have here nominated and voted by our members. JT and I working on this now.
Keep voting everyone!!!! What a race to the finish we will have this month!!!

Has anyone noticed irocthe5.7 that the blue stripping on the front bumper is more like a teal blue than dark blue like the rest of it? Just kinda weird, might only be the sun hitting or something also. Gordous car reguardless and he has my vote

BADNBLK, I don't know why it took me so long, but I just noticed your new title. Very official. Great job getting this whole thing organized. You've handled this whole thing very well.
