Has anyone ever removed..... w/in

Has anyone ever removed the plastic along the door? I had my car painted and the fact is that I dont have those little strips and I am not sure I want to waste the money on them. So what do oyu thik it would look like without them? I know the possibilities of the doors banging it, but since I will never drive it but to the race track and car shows how do you think it will look?

My Z28 doesn't have those things along the door and I think it looks better without them. It looks much cleaner.

I think it looks a LOT better with out them, cleans up the whole car. Here is a couple cars w/o out them (sorry they aren't f-birds, but you get the idea)

I would take them off if you don’t use it as a daily driver. Other wise on my car I'm leaving them on because most people don't give a rats a$$ if they bang up you car.

Not all car doors will hit you in the same spot. And, I'd rather fill a chip in the paint, then replace, or worse yet leave the scratched strips. All cars look alot cleaner without them.
