Front bumper questions that I couldn't find
Alrite so I'm looking to redo my front bumper and I need a whole new bumper cover and new spoiler. I just was wondering and so was my auto body guy if that when we take it off if the clips will snap? Or how is it being held on anyway? clips? and if this is the case where can I find them cuz ive had no luck so far. Has anybody gone thru the same process...please help. Thanks

Re: Front bumper questions that I couldn't find
to maybe clear things up, i know the bumper obviously bolts to the front of the car and fender..but how is it held on to the ground effects? i can see there are clips, but cant tell if that is what is holding the valence to the bumper or if there is something im missing..thanks

You'll have to jack the front end up inorder to see where most of it is. And thos is just how my 92 was put together, pre 90's are different if I'm not mistaken.
Anyway The chin spoiler is held on by about 10 bolts from the inside of the bumper and four slide-in clips (two on each side). The bottom of the bumper is held on by plastic rivets, you pull out the center of them and the rest will come out without to much trouble. The rest of the bumper is held to the fenders by 4 (or 6, don't recall) nuts from the inside of the fender.
I'm not certain about what holds on the filler pannel on top (near the hood latch). I think they're just pop clips and small screws, and they'll just pop out with a little wiggling and pulling.

Re: Front bumper questions that I couldn't find
No problem.
If you're careful they shouldn't break. I think the clips on the sides of the chin spoiler are metal, and they're pretty self explanatory, if I recall - just have to push on on the center tap and lift. A great way to get out the platic pop fasteners and rivets is a pair of nail-pulling pliers, they make it much easier to get those out without ruining them.

The pop fasteners and rivets you can find at O'Rileys, Auto Value or the like, though they might not be the same color. :/ Just have them point you to the trim fasteners, they'll be nearby.
The little fender to ground effect clips though, I'm actually on the hunt for those myself haha. I'll let you know if I find anything similar
