How do I remove them? Is it a difficult task? Is it the same color underneath them? Should I even take them off? I use my car pretty frequently. I do use it to get groceries, go out to eat, and cruise.

I took mine off when I got my 1LE cause they were peeling and the previous owner had taken them off and painted and put them back on a cpl times, and they werent strait. I used a piece of insulated wire and slowly slid it between the mouldings and body, like cutting clay kinda...
Then i used a rubber adhesive remover disc on a drill to get most of the gunk off, have to be careful not to overheat anything with it...Then went back with 3M trim adhesive remover they sell at the parts store in a big red can... Take ur time and be careful...

I used a heat $15 gun from HF tools. Very quick and no scratches.
