I like what you did with not trying to stuff all the gauges in the stock cluster location. I really like my tach mounted under the vents and with that 5" speedo it all comes together really well. Dig it!!!

Plus, 3 of the factory gauges weren't hooked up or working, so that is lame.
Oh yeah, the wheels that are on the car now are 17x11 ZR1s with MT E/T streets. Hoping to make the track before too long!

It is a GREAT honor. The caliber of the cars on here is much better than we(thirdgens) are perceived to be!
I was hoping to get a couple rolling pictures now that the gauges are in, along with a T56, and 9", but it gets dark so early its been hard for us to get it done...

I did get some gopro videos, but sadly they came out very bad......

A calender would be awesome, and I would probably buy a few of them if that happened.

Thanks! My car was nominated for a month (obviously didn't win) and that's more than enough recognition to make me happy. It might get more eyes on it once I finish the turbo build and get some updated pictures online.

whitedevilTA I followed your entire build on youtube, pretty awesome.
I am pretty sure one of the Camaros will win too, but I think every car on here is awesome and a calender would be amazing! My cars at a disadvantage due to being winner of the stocker month, not much i could really do to increase peoples interest

Wow...thanks guys for the votes! I expected to get creamed in this poll. To be running neck and neck with a professionally built car really makes me feel like I accomplished something!!
There are some top notch cars in this contest, all of which I am anxious to see in a calender if we go that route...I will proudly display it to prove that these cars can be something special when built right!

They are sleepers compared to some of the cars on here for sure.... I've tamed mine down a LOT since I bought it, in terms of looks.
Also, just posted a video in my build thread...Check it out if you get a chance!

Re: 2012 COTY (Car Of The Year) **VOTING**
MAN-OH-MAN... soooo many beautiful cars to choose from! This was honestly the most difficult decision I've had to make in a VERY loooong time! After 2 hours of deliberating, I had to give my vote to kevin89formula's black Formula.
Re: 2012 COTY (Car Of The Year) **VOTING**
For me it was between nuffnuff and 406tpi. 406TPI's car really stands out to me because the car looks exactly how it should have rolling off the showroom floor. Needless to say, my hat is off to each and every one of the cars in this poll. Every car is absolutely beautiful.

When voting, should we be basing it on just the pictures presented in this thread?
Or should be practice our due diligence and do a little nosing around to see what's what with respect to each vehicle?
There are several instances where the vehicle in question has one look to it and then another when the look is quite different. A wheel/tire swap can have a dramatic impact as an example.
Just wondering.

What a great thread. So many awesome cars! I am honored to have sqeaked it out.
I have owned this car since it was new in 89. Its been thru many changes/combos over the years and I am always looking to improve something with the car. I am Always trying to present the 3RD GEN as a car that can be just as "bad" as the 69 camaro or chevelle sitting next to me at the cruise nights.
Wouldn't it be cool to have alot of these cars together in one place. I try and make one national event/show/race every year. I did the Holley ls fest this year and the trans am nationals the year before. Any body have any suggestions of an event this year?
Maybe we could get a handfull of these cars together somewhere.

I was a bit surprised my votes were so low to be honest, LOL...but such is life I guess. I have a feeling a lot more guys favor camaros over birds only because there were twice as many made originally.
I'm just glad to see a bird take the win as car of the year! Beautiful formula Kevin, and definitely an eye opener to what can be done with a 3rd gen platform!

Those beauties are both almost completely externally stock sans aftermarket wheels.
