I want to polish my IROC wheels but I know you have to take off the clear coat first. What do you recommend to do this? Also is there anyway to strip the clear coast off the metal but not strip the gray paint off the wheel?

the tech article on thirdgen.org about this suggests Busch's Clearcoat Remover for Aluminum Surfaces. just apply it to the clearcoat areas. if you get it on the painted area, wipe it off with a paper towel right away. you can read the full tech article at https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/wheels.shtml
